SafeSplash Swim School - Gilbert

We took our child, who is on the spectrum, to their first trial lesson. The facility is great. It is spacious, clean and well maintained. Our child's instructor did an excellent job with them and was super flexible to their needs and learning style. They worked on a number of skills during the lesson and we could immediately see the difference instructor lead lessons makes. I would recommend this facility if you have a child on the spectrum. Water safety is so important and I can tell that it is why they are in business; to ensure that all children are safe around water.

My son is coming to this place for swim lessons for more than 2 years now, consistently. He loves this place, it's refreshing and relaxing to him, weekend fun. Coaches are nice and there is no time pressure to meet a goal (unlike school). I find the place is clean with all the necessary facilities. Coaches review progress time to time. It has gone through multiple rounds of management changes, but the recent owner is trying best to make it more fun and friendly for kids.

My 3 grandchildren have been attending this swim school for a while. They like it. I went to watch them. I like the stadium seating. Their changing rooms are very private. They sell merchandise and snacks. There’s also a play area for those littles that are waiting.

The swimming lessons were an overall okay experience. There were a few concerns with the facility, as the property did not appear to be well maintained. Additionally, several classes were cut short, even though they were scheduled for 30 minutes, which made the sessions feel rushed. During the last two sessions, there were some inconsistencies with instructors. One mentioned not having been in the pool for a long time, and another arrived late, which impacted the flow of the lessons. That said, one instructor stood out in a positive way and helped make the experience better, which is the main reason the overall rating is not lower.

Friendly staff, especially the few who have made it through the turnover. This location does have a lot of potential but it does seem to suffer from being considered a lower earning location as well. Not a big issue when their enrollment is low but when they are successful in getting people to sign up their kids. It's apparent their understaffed again due to CONSTANT turnover. Your child is packed into a full class (4kids) with a life guard who is brand new. You realize in a 30min session your child is getting very little actual time learning to swim. Additionally, they will bill you far enough advance so they shouldn't need to be them closed on Fridays, constant closures due to pool malfunctions, and being under staffed is TOUGH to deal with.
